Do you want to use social media to build a platform and connect with other writers, readers, and those who have similar interests to yours? Are you ready to promote yourself and/or your writing? Are you on Twitter and Facebook but are unsure of how to manage your account so that you can best position yourself as a writer? Then this workshop is for you. We will teach you how to: create your online profile; determine which social networks are right for you (including the ones specifically created for authors); engage with others effectively; use social networks to build connections; and manage your online presence.
Jami Reyes has been a communications consultant for more than 15 years. She has crafted effective messages, forged lasting relationships, secured top media placements, successfully launched new brands, and helped individuals and organizations quietly move agendas or boldly stand out in a crowded field. Her clients come in all shapes and sizes. She has represented corporations and trade associations as well as governments and nonprofits. For some, she is their chief representative.
