CREATIVE WRITING COURSES
What’s Your Story? Writing Memoir
New Dates! 8 weeks: Tuesdays, September 27 - November 15, 2011, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
$170 (Current MDC faculty and credit students: $120)
Course will take place at Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus
If a memory has lingered, there is a story behind it. Each week we will excavate these stories with in-class writing exercises. We will also discuss and explore aspects of storytelling found in professional writing, which we will then practice in our in-class exercises and homework assignments. All writing will be read out loud and work-shopped within the group. Students will also be encouraged to bring in stories they are working on outside of class.
