THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES

The Center@MDC, and Miami Dade College's Center for Community Involvement and Student Life departments co-present The Vagina Monologues part of V-Day Miami Dade College 2012, under the direction of Joann Maria Yarrow, director of The Center's Teatro Prometeo.
Originally written by Eve Ensler in 1996, The Vagina Monologues is based on hundreds of interviews conducted by Ensler herself, relating to themes such as sex, rape, love, orgasms, birth and women's rights.
The presentations associated with V-Day Miami Dade College 2012 will be presented at three different campuses by MDC students, faculty and staff, with actresses performing in English, Spanish and Creole.
The proceeds from this benefit production of The Vagina Monologues will go to Victim Response, Inc. – The Lodge, reaching out to victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault, here in Miami, and this year's V-Day's Spotlight Campaign for Women and Girls in Haiti.
