If you have an idea for a writing project, our one-day classes are a great place to learn strategies for developing your project. The instructor, usually an established writer, lectures and offers examples on the theme or genre under discussion. The classes are usually 1-5 hours long and allow you and the instructor to examine, in depth, a specific craft issue, these could be plot, poetic forms, the mystery novel, etc. Many writers take a class to see if they are interested in a specific form, or to gather the tools to make the leap into a new area of the genre they usually write in. Sometimes the classes are taught by publishing industry professionals, such as agents, editors and publicists, and can help you learn about that side of the writing world.
