Deadlines:

March 30:
• Early-Bird Registration–register by this date and enter a drawing to win a FREE manuscript consultation (an $80 value)!

April 6:
• Deadline to submit a manuscript for creative writing workshops with Dorothy Allison or Connie May Fowler

April 15:
• Deadline to submit a character description for creative writing workshop with Carolina Garcia-Aguilera

April 19:
• Last day to submit a manuscript for consultation. (see submission guidelines)

Please keep in mind that many workshops are limited to 15 students, and that appointments for agent manuscript consultations go fast. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

Fees:

Our flexible packages make it possible for you to attend just one class or workshop if your time is limited, or, immerse yourself in creative writing at a deep discount!

• One three-day workshop: $225 (includes lunch Wed.— Fri.)

• One four-day workshop: $250 (includes lunch Wed.— Sat.)

• Any two workshops: $400

• Daily briefing lectures: $40 each

• Manuscript consultation: $80*

• The whole enchilada (any two workshops, all daily briefings, plus one manuscript consultation): $525

*Manuscript consultation fees are not reading fees and do not go the agent; rather they support the programs and initiatives of the Florida Center for the Literary Arts.

Please note that because enrollment in most workshops is limited to 15 students, we must have ample time to seek and register a replacement should you be forced to cancel your attendance to the Writers Institute. For that reason, the deadline to cancel your registration for any workshop or lecture and receive a full refund is Monday, April 5, 2010. After that date, we will not be able to offer any refunds.
