How do you convert fact into fiction? Where should an author draw the line between art and life? What is the advantage and disadvantage of writing only what you know? These are a few of the questions we will explore in this workshop, which will look at ways to draw from personal experience. We will also discuss techniques to overcome writer’s block and improve compositional velocity. There will be readings and writing exercises. Be prepared to submit samples of your own fiction.
