They say you never forget your first time—same rings true for first time novelists. Learn what the publishing experience was like for recently published authors Andrea Askowitz and Anjanette Delgado, who will share the intimate details of how it all happened—what they loved, hated and would do differently the second time around. Plus their marketing plans, public relations strategies, guerilla tactics, book tours and other aspects of their hot-off-the-presses careers.
Andrea Askowitz is the author of the memoir My Miserable, Lonely, Lesbian Pregnancy (Cleis Press). Askowitz, an adjunct professor at Florida International University, produces and writes for Lip Service, a true-stories reading series.
Anjanette Delgado is an Emmy-winning writer and multimedia producer. Her first novel, The Heartbreak Pill (Atria), the story of a jilted scientist who invents a reverse love potion to erase her pain, was featured at the 2008 Miami Book Fair International.
