This is a workshop-intensive course in which we explore the participants’ manuscripts, looking for proficiency and weakness as well as opportunities to achieve greater depth and nuance. Improvement strategies and identification of key strengths will be discussed. The workshop environment, while rigorous, values honesty, sensitivity, and cordiality. Limited to 15 students.

Manuscripts for workshop due April 16.

Facilitator
Connie May Fowler is a novelist, memoirist, essayist, and screenwriter. Her most recent work, The Problem with Murmur Lee, was chosen as Redbook’s premier book club selection. She also adapted Before Women had Wings for Oprah Winfrey which resulted in an Emmy-winning film. She teaches writing workshops and seminars globally.
