Writing for the Theatre

This workshop is for writers who want to develop or revise a script and will include in-class exercises and the reading and discussing of participants' work. Writers will be encouraged to explore their own intentions and point of view, while learning how best to get their scripts produced. Play scripts (including solo shows) and screenplays are welcomed. Writers should bring the first scene of their piece to the first session to be read aloud. The should also bring a copy for each classmate. Limited to 15 students.

Facilitator
Director Che’Rae Adams has been developing and directing new plays for almost two decades. She is the Producing Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Writer’s Center and has taught acting and writing workshops at the Catholic University and The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
