This course is designed to equip the beginning screenwriter with the tools they will need to pursue a career in the film industry. The curriculum will cover character development, dialogue, theme, and plot structure, including the popular Syd Field paradigm among others. This class is ideal for those with the desire to turn their idea for a script into reality. In an honest and friendly workshop environment, students will receive feedback on their writing, with special emphasis on how to market scripts and break into the screenwriting business.
Alberto Veloso is a graduate of both FIU and the Palm Beach Film
School, where he wrote and directed his first short film: One Night Stand.
Prior to this, he was the Grand Prize Winner of the Investor's Screenplay Competition. His first feature screenplay, a romantic comedy titled The Swap, is currently in pre-production with Bait Man Films.
